Broadway Financial, parent company of City First Bank, has named Tina Carew as its new EVP, chief legal officer and corporate secretary.
Carew enters the role with more than 29 years of experience advising boards and senior executives on regulatory compliance, capital markets and complex corporate transactions.
Before joining Broadway Financial, Carew served as VP, general counsel and corporate secretary of Invesco Mortgage Capital. She also concurrently served as deputy general counsel and corporate secretary of Invesco Commercial Real Estate Finance Trust.
Prior to joining Invesco in 2022, Carew spent more than 13 years at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta, where she progressed to SVP and corporate secretary after serving as deputy general counsel of capital markets, securities and governance. Earlier in her career she worked for private firm Sullivan & Cromwell LLP.

Staying in the US, Fidelity National Information Services has confirmed that Caroline Tsai will step down as the company’s chief legal and corporate affairs officer and corporate secretary on July 1.
Tsai joined the company in 2022 and helped guide the company through the sale of Worldpay and the acquisition of TSYS from Global Payments.
After her exit, Tsai will serve as a non-executive employee and senior advisor of the company to oversee a smooth transition until September.
Effective from July 1, Chip Keller, the company’s current chief compliance officer and corporate secretary, will become the company’s chief legal officer and corporate secretary.
Meanwhile, discount retail chain Five Below has appointed Christos Yatrakis as chief legal officer, reporting to Kenneth Bull, chief operating officer.
Yatrakis is a legal executive with more than 20 years of experience leading legal functions for global public consumer companies. Most recently, he served as chief people & legal officer at Allbirds.
Prior to Allbirds, Yatrakis held senior legal and operational roles at Gymshark USA, including general manager, North America, and at Arrow Electronics, where he served as vice president, legal affairs.

Sun Communities, a NYSE-listed real estate investment trust, has name Ileana McAlary as general counsel, EVP and secretary.
McAlary joins Sun Communities from SpartanNash, a Fortune 400 food solutions company, where she served as EVP, Chief legal and compliance officer, and corporate secretary.
Earlier in her career, McAlary served as VP, associate general counsel and compliance officer at Wolverine Worldwide and held senior legal roles at Meijer and Amway Corporation.

Elsewhere, biopharmaceutical company Kyverna Therapeutics has appointed Ritesh Srivastava as chief legal and compliance officer.
The company says Srivastava brings extensive experience spanning legal, corporate strategy, compliance and risk management to the role.
He joins Kyverna from BPGbio, where he served as general counsel. Prior to BPGbio, Srivastava served as global compliance officer at Spectrum Pharmaceuticals. Earlier, he served as director of compliance and investigations at Avanir Pharmaceuticals.
As a former federal prosecutor with the US Department of Justice, Srivastava has also led law enforcement teams in the investigation and prosecution of healthcare fraud and anti-kickback matters. Earlier in his career, he was a private practice litigator at Cooley LLP.

TEGNA, a subsidiary of Nasdaq-listed Nexstar Media Group, has promoted Marc Sher to SVP and general counsel. In this role, Sher will oversee all of company’s legal matters, including – among other things – compliance, contracts, litigation, regulatory matters and risk management.
Sher joined TEGNA in 2013 and most recently served as VP, associate general counsel and secretary. Before this he was a partner at Dow Lohnes PLLC.
In Europe, Telecom Italia (TIM) has named Luciene Pandolfo as its new chief legal officer.
She enters the role with more than 20 years of experience in legal management, 18 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and 10 years of experience in telecoms infrastructure.
Her previous roles include chief legal officer of Agip Brasil and general counsel of Liquigás Distribuidora, as well as serving as VP and general counsel of BR Towers and Phoenix Towers Participações.
Finally, Balfour Beatty has named Ed Egerton as its chief legal and commercial officer and is set to start in September.
Egerton joins the construing company from global engineering firm AtkinsRéalis, where he served as acting general counsel.
