Renee Jackson joins Dolan Company as vice president and general counsel

Jackson set to be Dolan Company's first general counsel

Renee Jackson has joined the Dolan Company as vice president and general counsel. This marks the first time the NYSE-listed business publisher has appointed someone to the post of general counsel. The company has, however, had an in-house counsel position, which until recently was held by Katie Gettman. Gettman left Dolan for a
private practice gig at the new law firm Halleland Habicht, and Jackson has assumed her responsibilities.

As part of Dolan’s senior
management team, Jackson reports
to CEO James Dolan, who in a
statement announcing her appointment calls Jackson a ‘talented, highly experienced and hard-working attorney’.

Jackson comes to Dolan from Fair Isaac where, since 2005, she served as the company’s vice president and associate general counsel. Fair Isaac was her first stint in-house.

Her extensive private practice experience includes four years as administrative and hiring partner and chair of the
litigation department at the Minneapolis office of the law firm Fulbright & Jaworski. Before that she was a partner at Larkin Hoffman Daily and Lindgren, and prior to that she was with Dorsey & Whitney.

Before she entered the legal
profession, Jackson worked as a
features writer for the Gainesville Sun,
a daily newspaper based in Florida,
having received her undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of Florida. She earned her JD from the University of Minnesota Law School, where she graduated with honors.
