Philip Theodore is Zep's new general counsel

Theodore joins Zep as the cleaning-solutions manufacturer seeks to expand

 

Zep, the Atlanta, Georgia-based manufacturer of cleaning solutions, has selected Philip Theodore to oversee its legal department in the role of vice president and general counsel. In this position Theodore also handles the corporate secretarial function and reports to Zep chairman, president and CEO John Morgan.

In announcing Theodore’s appointment, Morgan remarks: ‘With the extensive public 
company and private practice experience Phil brings, we know he will be a solid contributor as well as a strong addition to our management team as we execute our strategies.’
Zep is looking to grow its operations, and Theodore brings to his new role significant experience in helping 
companies to expand.

Before joining Zep, he held the post of vice president of corporate development, compliance and legal for BioReliance.

Prior to that he served as senior vice president and general counsel at John H Harland Company, which has since changed its name to Harland Clarke. He also worked for Serologicals Corporation as the company’s vice president, general counsel and 
corporate secretary.

Before moving in-house, Theodore worked in private practice for more than 15 years. He was a partner in 
the corporate practice of the law 
firm King & Spalding.
