Lumen hires former Hulu general counsel as CLO

Lumen Technologies has hired Chad Ho as executive vice president and chief legal officer (CLO), effective next month.

Ho was part of the original management team at Hulu and spent more than 14 years at the company as general counsel and corporate secretary. Following Hulu’s sale and integration into Disney, he oversaw legal matters for the global business operations across Disney’s TV networks and streaming services. Most recently, Ho was CLO for Sabre Corporation, a travel technology company.

Ho succeeds Stacey Goff, who has worked at Lumen and its predecessor companies for 26 years and is retiring. According to a corporate announcement, Goff is expected to remain with Lumen for a few weeks after Ho’s arrival to ensure a smooth transition. 

Lumen was short-listed in three categories for Governance Intelligence’s 16th Corporate Governance Awards in 2023: best ESG reporting (small cap), best proxy statement (small cap) and best shareholder engagement (small to mid-cap).

Goff says in the announcement: ‘It has been a privilege to serve at Lumen. Through the years, I have seen this company transform from a small telecommunications firm into a powerful technology company. I have loved the many great people I have worked with here and am proud of all that we have achieved together and of the transformational journey that began so many years ago. I know Lumen has the right strategy in place to deliver revenue growth. I look forward to watching the company’s success.’
